About
NYSSTL is a project of the HFM BOCES, WSWHE BOCES, and Generation YES, funded by a federal grant from the New York State Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) program. NYSSTL is currently in year two of the EETT Grant. This year the partners hope to expand on the success and research base of the NYSSTL and DLS models. The specific goals for the 2009-10 year of the grant are as follows:
- Increase the number of Student Technology Leaders throughout New York
- Increase the number of nationally certified technology literate 7th graders in New York.
- Increase teacher use of technology and 21st century skills.
- Develop and provide a statewide NYSSTL toolkit aimed at providing a cost-effective strategy for new schools to become members of NYSSTL.
- Establish an active statewide NYSSTL-DLS network which models successful digital communication and focuses on technology and 21st century skill integration for improving learning and technology literacy for all students and teachers.
